Books I read in August!

I can’t believe it’s the end of September already *gasp*!!! Have you read many books this month? I’ve read quite a few… maybe a few too many (can there ever be too many books?)

I also had kindle unlimited for a week, so I tried to take advantage of that! Anyway, here are the books I’ve read this month, tell me if you’ve read any of them / what books you’ve read!

Clockwork angel & clockwork prince (cassandra clare)– I loved these. Loved loved loved loved them… I really need to read the last one! Both were 5* reads for me!

Shadow and bone (Leigh Bardugo)– I liked this quite a bit! The darkling confused me though, I wasn’t sure whether to like him or not. 3.5* for me, I’m hoping I like the rest of the series more

Girl Online, Girl Online: On Tour, Girl Online: Going solo (zoe sugg) – these books surprised me! I liked them a lot more than I thought I would, and ended up reading them all in a day! I’m giving them 3.5*, because although I liked them, I didn’t really care what happened to the characters, and normally when I read I care about them probably too much

The magician’s apprentice (Trudi Canavan)- I LOVED THIS SO MUCH!!! It was the perfect prequel to The black magician & the traitor spy trilogies! 5* from me!!!

The night circus (Erin Morgenstern) – yes yes yes read this read this! It’s a really unique and interesting book!!!! 4.5* I think

Flawed (cecelia ahern) – this book is perfect. PLEASE READ IT THE WRITING IS AMAZING AND SO ARE THE MESSAGES WITHIN IT!

Lady midnight (cassandra clare) – YES YES YES YES it was amazing I really need to read lord of shadows but I’m kind of scared to because apparently its painful 😦

The bane chronicles (cassandra clare)- I love Magnus Bane, he’s one of my favourite characters!! When I saw that there was a book about him, I had to read it and it was the first book in a while that left me laughing out loud! There was a part about magnus and a cactus and ahhh it was just perfect! 5* definitely!

Duplicity (sibel hodge) – ah how do I describe this. It was great. When I started I thought it would be your typical crime book, but as it went on ahh it just kept surprising me! Another 5*!

The truth about Gemma Grey (sophie ranal)  – this was nice to read, and kind of similar to girl online. 4*- I enjoyed this quite a lot!

So I’ve read 12 books this month… that’s more than I thought, but I liked most of them! Also, over the next couple of weeks I’m going to try and write reviews for all of these :), I know I haven’t included much detail about what they’re all about 😦

Thanks for reading, Cerys x
